About Ames Lake Water Association

Ames Lake Water Association is a 501(c)12, non-profit, consumer-owned, cooperative utility originally incorporated by 87 members in April 1969 to distribute drinking and irrigation water to landowners in the vicinity of Ames Lake, Washington

Today, ALWA is a Group A water system as defined by Washington Administrative Code (WAC), Chapter 246-290.  We produce around 90,000,000 gallons of water a year from deep, groundwater production wells.  The Association maintains over 202,000 feet (or 38 miles) of pipe and six storage tanks with a combined capacity of about 1,000,000 gallons.

We currently serve over 1,100 customers within our service area.
